Tokyo Daydreams was a self-initiated pop-up exhibition developed from drawings, notes, and observations collected while walking through Tokyo. Everyday encounters—from people resting in parks to signs, cafés, pets, and passing street scenes—were reassembled into a visual record of how the city is seen, remembered, and imagined. A fluorescent green, gray, and black palette brought these individual moments together as one graphic world, extending across posters, window graphics, T-shirts, postcards, stickers, and other merchandise. Participatory elements invited visitors to add their own stories by writing New Year wishes for the Daydream Tree and recording personal reflections on coffee sleeves printed with excerpts from my travel journal.
‘Tokyo Daydreams’는 도쿄를 걸으며 수집한 드로잉과 메모, 관찰을 바탕으로 직접 기획한 팝업 전시입니다. 공원에서 쉬는 사람들부터 간판, 카페, 반려동물, 스쳐 지나가는 거리 풍경까지, 일상에서 마주한 장면들을 재구성해 도시를 바라보고 기억하며 상상하는 방식을 시각적으로 기록했습니다. 형광 그린, 그레이, 블랙 컬러 팔레트로 각각의 순간을 하나의 그래픽 세계로 연결하고, 포스터와 윈도 그래픽, 티셔츠, 엽서, 스티커 등 다양한 굿즈로 확장했습니다.
관람객이 자신의 이야기를 더할 수 있는 참여 요소도 마련했습니다. ‘몽상 트리(Daydream Tree)’에 새해 소망을 적고, 여행 일기의 일부가 인쇄된 커피 슬리브에 개인적인 생각과 감상을 기록하며 전시에 함께 참여할 수 있도록 했습니다.
