Jinny Gallery turns streetlight display cases in Tokyo’s Jingumae neighborhood into an open-air exhibition space. For this collaboration, I created a series of drawings to introduce the streetlights as places to encounter art—not just fixtures along the street. The illustrations bring attention to the gallery’s presence within the neighborhood and invite people to notice the displays as they walk by. Created to promote the streetlight gallery, the work reflects Jinny’s idea that art can be part of an ordinary walk through the city.
